Mission

To protect lives and property through the four phases of
Emergency Management:


Mitigation, Preparedness, Response and Recovery.

Mitigation:
Reducing the effects of potential disasters by providing information to the public on preparing for emergencies.

Preparedness:
Preparing for potential disasters through planning and training.

Response:
Coordinating the activities of local government with state and federal agencies when responding to a major emergency or disaster.

Recovery:
Assisting local government and the public in recovering from a major emergency or disaster when necessary.
